Fourth Co-Evaluation Workshop in Castelfranco Veneto
March 2025
Our Pilot City Castelfranco Veneto hosted its fourth and final co-creation workshop, bringing together citizens, urban planners, and local stakeholders for an afternoon of dialogue, reflection, and collaboration to co-evaluate VARCITIES’s pilot in the Villa Revedin Bolasco.
Attendees were given a guided site visit and a first-hand look at the 6 Visionary Solutions (VSs) implemented in Castelfranco.
Participants were also invited to explore VARCITIES Health & Well-Being Platform.
The core of the event featured an in-depth reflection session, where stakeholders discussed the co-creation process, the development of key performance indicators (KPIs), and the anticipated long-term impact of the implemented solutions. Using interactive tools such as Mentimeter, the Pilot team gathered feedback and insights from attendees to inform the future of the Pilot site, and more largely VARCITIES’ outputs and recommendations.
A participatory segment in the form of a “Citizen Mapping Session” invited participants to identify unsafe bike lanes, pedestrian trouble spots, and neglected green areas, reinforcing the project’s commitment to citizen-led urban planning for Castelfranco Veneto.
The day concluded with an overview of the plans for sustaining the Visionary Solutions beyond the lifespan of VARCITIES, particularly within the framework of the Observatory of Landscape of Castellana. Attendees were also informed about how they could continue to provide feedback moving forward.
