Dundalk awarded a Gold Medal in SuperValu Tidy Towns Competition 2024

On 2nd November 2024, our Pilot City Dundalk was awarded a Gold Medal in the 2024 SuperValu Tidy Towns competition, among a total of 904 entries this year! This recognition highlights Dundalk’s and Louth County Council’s commitment to an inclusive, sustainable, and community-focused environment!
The Tidy Towns competition, a collaborative effort with Pride of Place and Co-operation Ireland, celebrates community-driven efforts across Ireland. The competition encourages communities to come together to enhance local life.
The judging report praised Dundalk’s efforts, and highlights VARCITIES Pilot site – ‘The Still’ in the Museum and Library’s courtyard for it focus on inclusivity and health. Judges commended the new features aimed at making the area more age-friendly, green and accessible town.
This award highlights Dundalk Tidy Towns Committee’s forward-thinking approach and commitment to fostering a welcoming community environment for all!
