On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, Chania’s Visionary Solution 1, the MULaR, was center stage at the event celebrating 40 years of continuous contribution from the Technical University of Crete to the society of Chania and Crete as a whole. Since the the Energy Management in the Built Environment Research Lab, Chemical and Environmental Engineering School, is VARCITIES’ project coordinator, they could not be absent from this significant day!

The Technical University of Crete is of Greece’s top educational institutions. As part of the celebrations, which took place at the “Mikis Theodorakis” theater in the Old Port of Chania, a series of events were held, including a musical performance by the university choir, speeches and presentations by the Rector and the Council, as well as awards to former Rectors and professors who played a pivotal role in the institution’s development. There, a special place was also given to MULaR!

MULaR, which was developed by the University together with the Municipality of Chania  was prominently placed and served as the first point of contact for those visiting the venue!

Besides, as Chania is still experiencing a period of increased tourist activity, it is worth mentioning that there was significant interest in the VARCITIES and the MULaR at the Mikis Theodorakis theater , with many attendees being informed about our initiative!
