Chania’s Visionary Solution 1 presented during World Environment Day

July 2024

Between 26th and 30th June 2024, Chania’s Visionary Solution 1, MULaR, was set up at third edition of the city’s Book Festival.

MULaR attracted the passerby’s sights and gained excellent impressions as it was placed in a very prominent position, in the middle of Katehaki Square with the Venetian Harbor on its background. In this position functioned as meeting and info point for the public. Information about the daily program of events for the CBF was also available on its special exterior built-in screens.

True to its multi-functional nature, MULaR became an open-air, external radio studio from where the radio station Diktyo FM 91.5 was broadcasting live tribunes about the Festival, interviews from the contributors and the participating authors.

During the first day of the Festival, MULaR also welcomed freelance writers from the Athens-based “Grafoules” collective, in their first ever action outside of the Greek capital. “Grafoules” distributed verses and poems typed with a traditional typewriters to visitors.

lThe purpose of MULaR is to travel within the city, and bring the environment into the urban center. In this way, citizens are engaged in various activities with the aim of increasing awarness on nature, health and well-being, and generating place-based added-value.
