Town Hall Event in Dundalk
November 2022
On Thursday, 24th November 2022, Dundalk’s Town Hall Event was organised by Louth City Council and Pilot experts, as part of VARCITIES’ co-creation process. During this event, Dundalk’s pilot team presented an overview of the project, an update on the implementation of the three Visionary Solutions. A special focus was given to the different digital technologies (health and well-being platform, sensors) that are developped as part of the project. Stakeholders had the opportunity to give direct feedack to the Pilot team. Participants were then invited to follow an on-site discussion to get better acquainted with the project and understand its progress and see where the new interventions will be carried out.
The Town Hall Event helped clarify questions and issues from citizens and local stakeholders and ensure ideas for significant risks and future replication were collected. Dundalk Pilot Team also presented the H&WB Platform and GoNature Game.
At the core of VARCITIES, we believe that nature-based solutions are inevitably unique and context-specific. This is why the co-creation process together with local communities is an important aspect of our Project and it represents a key moment of participation.
