Sensors deployment in Dundalk
September 2023
In the last days of Summer, our partner Louth County Council , together with their technical providers IES, has installed their VARCITES sensors across their pilot site in Dundalk.
These include:
- 1 LoraWann for the communication protocol and system architecture of the network and communication with the Health & Well-Being Platform
- 3 People counters, and several bike counters strategically placed at the front and rear gates to the site along the side gable of the library and along the courtyard to try and capture numbers using the actual pilot site area
- 1 Air Quality Monitor measuring temperature, relative humidity, VOCs, Barometric pressure, CO2, Oxygen, Particulate matter, PM1, 2.5, 4, 10 and 1 Rain water monitor
- 1 Noise and Sensedge Stick to monitor noise in the area
The data will also feed into the upcoming Health and Well-Being Platform, currently under development.
